Veteran Student Application Process
麻豆社 is committed to honoring those who have served. Continue your journey in a place that values your service and helps you achieve your full potential.
How to Apply
If you're a student veteran pursuing an undergraduate degree, you’ll apply through our streamlined transfer application process. Even if you haven’t completed formal college coursework, you may still receive academic credit for your military training and experience.
Graduate school applicants should note that the Boler College of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences each have separate application processes for their graduate programs.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
At 麻豆社, we’re committed to making your education affordable through a combination of merit-based scholarships and need-based financial aid.
Celebration of Service Program
麻豆社’s Celebration of Service Program is designed specifically for military veterans pursuing higher education.
Yellow Ribbon Participation
We voluntarily participate 100% in the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Yellow Ribbon program, which, in conjunction with our Patriot Award, makes a John Carroll education tuition-free for veterans who are eligible under the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. Additionally, we provide a commuter meal plan at no cost to Yellow Ribbon veterans.
Academic Credit
Military training and service will be evaluated for credit based on American Council for Education (ACE) recommendations. Students who have completed military service need to have a Joint Services Transcript (JST) sent for further consideration.
Online Certification of Benefits
The online certification process allows for a streamlined application of your military education benefits, eliminating the need to have paperwork signed at various offices around campus. We’ll take care of the administrative end of your education.
Veterans Lounge
The lounge allows you to socialize with your peers, hang out between classes, or do homework in a veteran-only environment.
Veteran Alumni Networking and Support
Our alumni network provides students with the opportunity to connect with our extensive network of alumni veterans, including General Carter Ham, a retired four-star general and JCU graduate.
Choose Another Path
Not a first year undergrad student?
However your path begins, you belong here. Choose the option that fits you best, and we’ll guide you forward.
